Let's face the winter with yoga, on Tuesdays in Porsanger. The yoga is held at the cultural center in Skoganvárri.

 

Yoga means union, that body, mind and soul are united and work together. How you use and how you feel in your body affects your mind. In the same way that your state of mind has an effect on the physical body.

We don't need to be aware of this to do yoga, but the fact that you do yoga not only strengthens tendons and muscles and makes your body softer - little by little it also makes you calmer, reduces stress in your body, makes you sleep better and make you generally feel better.

 

To achieve this we use different techniques. Sometimes there are long and deep stretching exercises, other times exercises and breathing where the purpose is to give energy, strength and cleansing.​

The form of yoga used is kundalini yoga. Kundalini yoga contains all the elements of yoga - stretches and stretches, different breathing techniques, exercises that are held or moved in certain positions and angles.

Yin yoga is characterized by the fact that the exercises are held over a slightly longer period of time, which will be used during some sessions.

The length of the exercise and the level of difficulty are adapted to the level of the group. These yoga evenings suit you with some to no yogic experience.​

Rest and meditation also belong. There can be short rests between the sessions and a longer one at the end - to integrate what we have redeemed or built up.

 

The yoga evening always ends with a meditation where the mantra or breath, finger position and gaze are used to process the mind, as we see the human being as a unit where body and mind work together.​

Location: Skogannvárri cultural center, i.e. the former school, close to the E6.

Bring:

• Mat that you can sit and lie on

• Blanket

• Pillow and/or blocks

• A bottle of water is good to have with you

 

Conditions:

• Minimum 10 participants

• If you have paid for the course and the course is canceled due to too few participants or due to reasons related to the yoga instructor, the course fee will be refunded, either in whole or in part, depending on when the yoga course must be stopped. The lost yoga class can be taken back on another day of the week or later, if a new class is set up.

• There is no refund if the course participant is prevented from participating.
